Call for Expression of Interest for the Installation and Establishment of Institutional Repositories (IRs) in Ugandan Universities
I hope you’re doing great. I wanted to share an exciting opportunity with you all. Our recently concluded DataCite Workshop highlighted the importance of establishing institutional repositories at our respective institutions. I believe that CUUL’s call for Expression of Interest for the Installation and Establishment of Institutional Repositories (IRs) in Ugandan Universities is a fantastic opportunity for us as DataCite Cadres to get involved in. CUUL EoI is herewith attached
I have attached a sample IR Business plan template, which has been adapted from UNESCO’s Open Access (OA) Curriculum, Chapter 2 on OA Infrastructure. This can serve as a helpful resource as we work on developing a proposal for this purpose.
I understand that crafting a proposal can be quite a task, so if anyone needs any support or assistance, please feel free to reach out to me. It’s important to note that the sample proposal provided is quite detailed and lengthy. I strongly recommend revising it and ensuring that it meets the required page limits as per the call.
This is an incredible opportunity for us to make a meaningful impact, and I believe that by working together, we can submit strong proposals that showcase the value of institutional repositories. Let’s make the most of this opportunity and demonstrate the important role that our institutions play in promoting open-access initiatives.
Looking forward to collaborating with all of you on this exciting endeavour.
If you have found this interesting and quite useful resource, please leave a comment – at least post your name or the name of your institution. Attached is the CUUL’s call for EoI document.
